The Inside Out Foundation unites two pioneering cultural spaces in Johannesburg - the Inside Out Centre for the Arts and the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography - to create a dynamic platform dedicated to advancing African excellence in photography. Through world-class exhibitions, educational programmes, and cross-cultural collaborations, the Foundation fosters creativity, dialogue, and critical engagement with the visual arts.

 Presented across both the Inside Out Centre for the Arts, and The Roger Ballen Centre for Photography in Johannesburg, this groundbreaking exhibition brings together over 100 of Africa's leading fashion designers and image-makers into an expansive survey of photography, film, installation and unique public programme to celebrate fashion photography as one of the most influential visual languages of the last five decades.

2 Duncombe Road, Forest Town, Johannesburg. Both Centres can be visited together as one destination.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Saturday, 9:00am to 12:00pm

Is parking available?

Yes, street parking is available on Duncombe Road.

Are the Centres accessible?

Yes, both Centres are wheelchair friendly.

How much does entry cost?

R50 for admission to both the Inside Out Centre for the Arts and the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography.

Do I need to book in advance?

No booking is required for general visits. Guided tours must be booked in advance.

How long should I plan for my visit?

Around 1.5 to 2 hours to comfortably explore both spaces.

Do you offer guided tours for schools?

Yes, guided educational tours are available for school groups.
