About the event
Transform a personal photograph into a pocket altar in this hands-on workshop exploring fashion, memory and identity. Using collage, fabric, beads and embroidery, create a miniature archive that deeply honours the people, clothing and stories shaping your personal style today.
Many of the most memorable fashion moments never appear on runways, magazine pages or gallery walls. They live in family albums, scrapbooks and wallets—woven into the ordinary moments that shape our lives. So, it’s time we spotlighted them. Inspired by the exhibition Fashion_The Image, we invite you to explore the quiet power and influential glamour of these images, which shape our worldviews, personal style and cultural identity. In this workshop, we’ll use fabric, beads, collage and embroidery to transform personal photographs into pocket altars: miniature, portable archives of style and identity that honour the clothing, people and memories shaping our personal histories.
