About the event
A hands-on creative workshop designed to inspire young makers
This half-day session invites children into a highly creative, immersive space where making, imagination, and exploration come together. Guided by Crystal Birch, participants will design and build their own hats using recycled and repurposed materials, discovering how everyday objects can be transformed into something expressive and new.
Through the process of making, children are encouraged to explore identity, individuality, and self-expression, responding with their own ideas and instincts as they create. The workshop also supports the development of fine motor skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving in a playful, supportive environment.
Rooted in ideas of sustainability and resourcefulness, the session introduces the value of reuse while celebrating creativity and cultural expression through making.
Each child will leave with something entirely their own — imaginative, personal, and made by hand.
All materials are provided. No prior experience needed.
