Decisive Moment: Sony World Photography Awards

This major exhibition is presented by the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography in collaboration with the World Photography Organisation. Decisive Moment brings together an exceptional selection of award-winning images across documentary, portraiture, wildlife, sport, landscape and creative photography. The exhibition celebrates the vitality of contemporary photography by bringing together distinct perspectives to form a global conversation.

Running concurrently will be New Eyes: The Roger Ballen Centre for Photography Award, an exhibition dedicated to emerging South African photographers. We are proud to exhibit the work of D.M. Terblanche, Karabo Mooki and Zwelibanzi Zwane, the inaugural recipients of the New Eyes Award, selected by an esteemed committee comprising Emilie Demon, Jabulani Dhlamini and Michelle Loukidis. Together, the two exhibitions create a dialogue between internationally recognised photographic excellence and the next generation of South African photographers.
