L'edificio del centro Inside Out
Il nome “Inside Out” riflette l’idea che le mostre del Centro incoraggeranno l’introspezione e il design dell’edificio è ispirato allo stesso obiettivo. Il cemento grezzo viene utilizzato sulle superfici interne ed esterne dell'edificio, quest'ultima delle quali nasconde l'ingresso che si apre in uno spazio mozzafiato, a doppio volume, illuminato naturalmente.
"A volte penso che l'edificio sembri essere stato capovolto", commenta Ballen, che ha lavorato a stretto contatto con l'architetto locale Joe van Rooyen di JVR Architects per creare un edificio simbolo.
